  • ❄️ Heavy snowfall blankets London — A strong snow band hit the region on Tue Nov 11, dropping ~9 cm at London Airport with localized totals much higher. Snowfall rates reached 5–10 cm/hr, causing numerous collisions on Hwy 401 and prompting school bus cancellations across Middlesex and Elgin counties. Residents are advised to expect slippery conditions throughout the week.

  • New café opens in East LondonRiverbend Roasters has soft-launched on Commissioners Road East, offering free drip coffee all week to introduce itself to the neighbourhood. The shop aims to become a community hub with locally roasted beans and weekend events planned.

  • 🏛️ City seeks input on Downtown Master Plan — London hosted a virtual public meeting on Tue Nov 12 regarding long-term plans for boosting residential density, revitalizing public spaces, and improving transit downtown. Residents can still submit comments as part of the ongoing engagement process.

  • 🛠️ Transit detours continue in East London — Major construction for the Wellington Gateway Project (Phase IV) is causing detours on LTC routes 17, 25, 27, and 36 through late November. Riders may experience extended travel times and should check real-time updates for stop closures before travelling.

  • 🏗️ Adelaide Underpass wins provincial award — The new Adelaide Street Underpass, opened August 2025, received the MEA Award for excellence in public infrastructure. The $87.6-million project improves traffic flow, reduces train-related delays, and adds multi-use paths connecting neighbourhoods to downtown.
